TUITION: Tuition is based on an annual rate and stays consistent regarless of the amount of classes in the month. Tuition is due at the first week of each month and any tuition not paid before the next months tuition is due will be subject to a fee. A child may not be allowed back to class if more than one months tuition is over due and until that has been made good.
SAFETY: Safety is a top priority at Dance In The Isle, for that reason it is dior that certain policies exist. Please be sure your child comes into class prepared and ready. This means proper dance attire, No Jeans, Hair should be pulled up and out of face. Proper foot wear should be worn. NO SOCKS on dance floor! If their are any injuries or health concerns please make your instructor is aware before class. Always listen to your body and remember that there are risks to anything physical. Understand that you are taking class at your own risk which means not holding Dance In The Isle and their staff responsible or liable for any injuries that may occur while you or your child are taking class. Keep all personal belongings with you as Dance In The Isle is not resposible for lost or stolen items.
A Waiver form must be filled out and signed before any dancer is allowed to take classes. This is a standard form that allows me to know anything I should about your dancer such as health concerns allergies or injuries.
DANCE ATTIRE: Each class has a similar dress code. Most classes require comfy clothes that the dancer can move freely in with the exception of Ballet. All hip hop classes can have their dancers in joggers, sweats, sneakers, bare feet or jazz shoes. NO JEANS.
All Jazz, Contemporary, lyrical and Acro classes should be dressed in clothes that allow your teacher to see your lines and allow you to move freely. NO JEANS. Leggings, Shorts, Leotards are all acceptable.Hair pulled back is crucial for safety and to lessen distraction. The instructor has the right to sit your dancer out if hair or proper clothing is not being worn. Again, these can be safety concerns and its up to parent and child to be prepared before coming to class. Bare feet or footsies are required. Bare feet for Acro and gymnastics. NO SOCKS on the dance floor at anytime.

MAKEUP CLASSES: Life and weather happens which at times means a student may have to miss a class or the studio may have to shut down. In these cases the student will have 2 weeks from the missed class to arrange a makeup class. In most circumstances a makeup class will always be available. It is up to the parent to reach out to the director to arrange an appropriette makeup class.
ATTENDANCE: We understand that life is busy and kids enjoy a variety of activities. Here at Dance In the Isle we have always tried to be flexible but with this being said please remember that dance is progressive and true growth and potential can only come from regular committment and attendance. Regular attendance for Recreational dancers will be especially important while students are learning their recital piece.
ALL COMPETITION dancers are expected to exhibit good attendance habits and will be allowed a numbered amount of excused absences. Being apart of a competition team is a privilege. Competition is for those who not only want more stage time but for those who want to take their dancing to another level. Those who are a apart of a team should be willing to allow their teachers to help them become the best version of themselves they can be. A team, is a team and a family because of each members support, committment and love for oneanother as people, and dancers. It's extremly important that all members are doing their part to make the year a successful one.
PICTURES AND SOCIAL MEDIA are an important part of keeping people informed about the studio. I understand and respect that some may not feel comfortable with having their childs photo or video used in such purposes. If this is the case, its important to let the Owner/Director know this so they can be sure to not use any photos or videos of your dancer in advertisements and the likewise. Not communicating to this to the Owner will allow them to use such pictures and videos for advertising purposes which may be in the form of pictures, videos, brochures and so on. Thank you.
