Regular attendance for all will be especially important as we prepare for our end of the year showcase. ALL COMPETITION dancers are expected to exhibit good attendance habits & will be allowed a numbered amount of excused absences. Being a part of a competition team is a privilege. Competition is for those who not only want more opportunities to dance on stage but also for those who want to to take their training and technique to another level. Those who are apart of the comp team should be willing to allow their teachers to help them becomethe best versions of themselves they can be. A team is a team and a family because of each members support , committment and love for oneanother as people and as dancers. Its extremely important that all members are doing there part to make the year a successful one. PICTURES AND SOCIAL MEDIA are an important part of keeping people informed about the studio. I understand and respect that some may not feel comfortable with having their child's photo or video used for such purposes. If this is the case, its important to let the owner/Director to know at the beginning of the season so they can be sure to try and not use any photos or videos of your dancer while advertising and the likewise. Not communicating this to the owner will allow them to use such pictures and or videos for advertising purposes which may be in the form of pictures, videos, brochures, and the like. Thank you. DANCE ATTIRE: Each class has a similar dress code. Most classes require comfy clothes that the dancer can move freely in with the exception of ballet, Acro and Gymnastics. HIPHOP: Joggers, Leggings, Tees, Tanks, sweatshirt. Shoes: Sneakers are highly advised. No SOCKS and NO JEANS. BALLET: Leotard, Tights, Ballet shoes. Hair pulled back in a bun or for the younger group pulled back and out of face. ACRO, GYMNASTICS, JAZZ, LYRICAL CONTEMPOARY AND TAP: These classes require your teacher to see the lines of the body to make any corrections so its dior that your dancers clothing allows that. Leggings, and Leotards are best. Bare feet for all above except tap which will require tap shoes. SAFETY is a top priority at Dance In The Isle and for that reason its dior that certain policies exist. Please be sure that your child comes into class prepared and ready. It will be up to the parent to reach out to the director to arrange an aprropriette makeup class.

MISS LIZA: Owner and Director. Hello Everyone! My name is Liza Matton Mercy and I have had the true blessing of running this establishment for going on 14 years. My background is quite exstensive at this point in the game. My dance education started many years ago and continued while taking dance classes in college. I have taught around studios and schools in Vermont for many years before opening up my own studio back in 2009. My training has continued and will never stop as I often take the summers to venture into Boston, Connecticut or wherever I can go to continue my own dance education. I am also certified in Acro Arts. My students deserve the best so I push myself to be that for them. I have a Bachelors in Psychology as well which has really helped me understand the importance the role of dance can have on both the body and mind. Dance is fun, Dance Is healing, dance is friendship and connections. Dance is celebrating each individual that walk through the door for exactly who they were created to be. Here Dance isn't just Dance. At Dance In The Isle, we see dance as being so much more! Dare to Love, Dare to dream, Dare to dance.
